Describe a place that is unusual or unique.  It could be a private place (a corner in your bedroom or a hideout you had as a child)

place in your city or town, or a view which people don’t often see–such as looking out from inside a waterfall).  Whatever place you choose, focus on significant and important details that

engage as many of the senses as you can. You may describe the physical surroundings as well as how you came to know this place.

Because you are writing about your own experiences and observations, it is appropriate to use the first person (I ) in your essay.  However, it is probably not appropriate to use the second

person (you ) unless you are directly addressing the reader.  Also, because you are most likely writing about the past, use past tense verbs where appropriate.
