Informative Speaking
Informative speeches, while valuable, often run the risk of being quite boring for an audience. This is because informative speeches generally include, for example, a lot of facts, statistics, how-to, instructions and definitions. This can get bland easily. When things are bland and uninteresting, the audience stops listening.
What can a the speaker do to increase the motivation to listen? How can the speaker avoid the trap of a bland and boring informative speech? Provide as many ideas as you can think of, and be sure to provide an explanation of each.
