The final assignment for this course will be a plan to address an issue for a fictitious university or an institution in higher education, excluding Concordia University. Draw from the course discussions and assignments to develop a six to eight page plan using the following outline.
Section I: Mission Statement and Curriculum
State the mission statement for the fictitious university where the issue is found, and a discussion of the theoretical or philosophical perspectives that underpins the curriculum and connects it to the mission statement. Draw ideas from the activities in Weeks 1 and 2.
Section II: The Issue
Describe the issue, relate how it is affecting the university and will continue its ability to fulfill its mission and deliver a curriculum to a diverse group of learners, and your rationale for addressing this issue now. Use some of your content from the discussion in Week 4, Transformational Change in Higher Education, and the assignment, Leadership for Transformational Change.
Section III: Addressing the Issue
Describe in detail the measures you propose to address the institution’s issue now and in the future. Use your research from the literature survey in Week 5 and the Delphi study in Week 6. (When referring to the Delphi study, refer your reader to the appendix.)
Section IV: Framework
Design a framework to implement your plan. Include the stakeholders and their roles. Use information from the Week 7 discussion, Creating a Framework for Your Plan.
Section V: Leadership
Using the traits of your selected institution’s servant and transformational leaders and stakeholders, describe how your implementation plan can help to bring about change on your selected issue.
Section VI: Assessment
Describe your plan’s methods of assessment, progress, and evaluation and its ongoing implementation. Use resources and text from the Week 7 discussion, Creating a Framework for Your Plan.
Appendix: Delphi Study
Include the tables you created in the Delphi Study in Week 6.

Improving the quality of teaching at Duke University
The quality of education in the global universities has been in the past compromised by
several factors both internally and externally. This has greatly affected the delivery of quality
work as well as preparation of quality graduates in the universities. Many universities have
engaged quality coordinators to help facilitate the issue and try to develop the quality of
education (Tronc, 2010).
Some university managements especially in the faculties have been arguing that TQM
approaches were developed for industries who seek to improve the profitability for the company
