Task 2:The relationship of viewers of mainstream popular culture and the industries that produce them is a highly complex exchange. Resistance to dominant hegemonic readings of cultural products by viewers comes in the form of cultural bricolage and fan tactics.
Offer an example of this resistance to hegemonic forces of industry and an example of how these industries re-appropriate the tactics of marginalized cultures back into the mainstream. Include an image of the product
