Assuming that:

. You are going to create an image or photograph file to send to a friend.

. The resolution of the image will be 1920 x1080 pixels.

. The image will be stored using RGB (colour) encoding, with 65536 brightness levels for each of the three primary colors  (This is called 16 bit colour).

 a)  How many bits will be needed to represent a single pixel from this image (in other words, how many bits are needed for all three primary colors, if each color can have 256 different values?)

 b)  How many bytes will be needed to represent the whole image?   (Show work)

 c)  How many bytes would this image require if it were a grayscale image with 256 levels of grey?   (Show work)

 d)  How many bytes would this image require if it were simply black & white (not grayscale)?  (Show work)
