We’ll be looking at one of the greatest plays of the Modern period of theater, Edward Albee’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” It really is a breathtaking work, full of even more breathtaking performances. You’ll be watching the landmark version starring Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. They actually went and made Taylor look frumpy. Go figure.

I’d like you to focus on what Albee is trying to tell us this week. What points are driven home in this tale? Who’s side are you on? Anyone’s? How do you feel about the ending?
