Enabling Others to Act
Introduction to Activity:
There are a multitude of documented activities facilitators in professional workshops utilize to develop and promote teamwork. Emotionally intelligent leaders inspire
others with hope and optimism. They radiate enthusiasm and confidence, infusing employees with the same contagious attitude. Optimistic leaders encourage employees to
set higher goals for themselves by (a) sharing their vision, (b) communicating that vision clearly and concisely, (c) placing them in a position where they can grow,
and (d) providing them with the technology for optimum performance.
In response, team members are willing to work hard to accomplish those goals. They glean the desire to lift their team and organization to new heights. They
demonstrate self-motivation and resourcefulness in their desire to accomplish their goal. Team members use their skills to break down their tasks into manageable
parts, understanding there are several avenues through which the mission can be accomplished.
