Excellent understanding is demonstrated explaining how topic contributes to nursing practice.
Evidence by incorporating 2 relevant standards for practice in discussion.

4. Clear and concise conclusion that summarises all the main points and draws insightful implications for practice. Consistent use of formal and non-discriminatory language. Conventional grammar, spelling and punctuation. Consistent and accurate use of APA style for both in text citations and the references.

Overall-The Basics:
Plan your essay, brainstorm and develop an idea and then develop the idea with a topic or question with supporting information. Ensure you research the topic area well with evidence of scholarly literature to support statements and ideas.
Introduction:
Tell the reader what you are going to write about. Ensure you always relate to the essay question and what you are going to say about it in the body of your work. In this Unit, the introduction does not have to be long, and does not have to contain definitions, references or directly quoted material. You are encouraged to explain the topic you have chosen and the further things you will discuss in your paper. Consider covering essential aspects of the criteria briefly in your introduction in outlining what your paper will focus on.
The essay body:
Overall, you elaborate on the main ideas stated in the introduction, developing your discussion with examples from literature (current research, theory) and using paragraphs to separate your points and lead from point to point.
Paragraph 1 (body) 200 words
Discussion of the developmental stage you have chosen and the relevant physical, social cultural and/or cognitive aspects of your topic. Please note the word limit does not allow all aspects in detail. Choosing two aspects to discuss in depth and stating this in your introduction, is adequate.
Paragraph 2 (body) 200 words
Discussion of normative (predictable) and non-normative (unpredictable) transitions which are normally expected to occur within your developmental stage using at least one theorists work in your explanation. Be sure to include at least one relevant non-normative (unpredictable) life transition (or life event) which may un-expectantly occur in the developmental stage you have chosen. Your discussion in paragraph 1 may have also identified a range of predictable (normative) transitions.

Paragraph 3 (body) 200 words
Discuss/describe/illustrate how self-identity, self- concept and or self-esteem develops in individuals within the life stage you have chosen (again, you will need to make a choice as to which of this aspects you will emphasis and apply to your chosen life stage).
Paragraph 4 (body) 200 words
Following on from your previous paragraph which will contain a definitions of terms, identity factors which may subsequently impact on an individual?s self-concept during the normative (predictable) and non-normative (unpredictable) transition of the particular life stage you have chosen.

Paragraph 5 (body) 200 words
Justify (provide rationale) for how an understanding of the physical, social cultural and or cognitive aspects of your chosen developmental stage contributes to nursing and midwifery practice, and in your response, identify (or state/describe) at least 2 standards (NMBA, 2016) which support your justification.

Conclusion (50-100 words)
Remind the reader of the main ideas/points introduced and explained in your essay. It should include final comments or statement which can be recommended for future direction for research.
