Discussion on Idea
Paper instructions:
The major question with me is how religion can survive through the enlightenment from science. Philosophers like Francis Bacon and John Locke were about
encouraging the validity of science and logic, and were able to help create the era of the Scientific Revolution. With the proof brought on by subjects, such as
mathematics and biology, it leaves people turning around and asking for the same kind of proof from religions, like the Roman Catholic Church who during this era
started getting attacked creating Protestant Reformation. So, my question still stands, for all of you, how can religion (such as Christianity) stand after this
scientific enlightenment? How can religion benefit from this as well? And how is religion still standing today, even though science seems to (sometimes) be more of a
credible source of information for mind boggling questions?
