Variables ” variables are symbols or concepts that can assume one of a set of values.
Hypotheses ” hypotheses are conjectural statement of the relationship between two or more variables that carry clear implications for testing the stated relationship.
Laws ” laws are well-verified statements about invariable relationships among variables.
Theories ” theories are interrelated sets of statements of relationships whose purpose is to explain and predict.
Models ” models are highly formalized representations of theoretical relationships.
