HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT # 1

Each student will identify an offense that was a crime at one time but is no longer illegal. Ask students to research their crime and the punishments that were prescribed to that crime.
Submit a one-page typed paper on the crime. Briefly explain the following.

1. A description of the crime.
2. The penalty for the crime.
3. Why this particular offense was decriminalized.
