Introduction: Crime Analysis and the Computer
Computer applications in crime analysis are only useful to the extent that they help advance the core functions of tactical, strategic, administrative, operations,

investigative, or intelligence analysis. In this assignment, you will analyze the way the Microsoft Office suite can assist with a particular type of crime analysis.

Choose one of the analysis types offered by the chapter. Describe it in your own words and, based on what you have read from the Office book, tell me how the different

Microsoft Office applications can support that particular type of crime analysis. Invent a specific operational scenario to support your discussion (e.g., a crime

pattern for tactical analysis or an administrative request for administrative analysis).

Be sure to cover each of the four core Office applications (Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
