CONSTRUCTION IN A LEGAL ENVIRONMENT, ETHICS PAPER

Term Paper/Homework Assignment: Seven (7) pages or longer term paper with proper accreditation addressing: Ethics of certain standard construction contract provisions in light of current economic realities specifically conditional payment clauses, change order requirements on both public and private construction projects and transfer of oversight responsibility from the general contractor to the subcontractors and sub-subcontractors. Due Date and Course Grade:

This assignment shall be worth ten (10%) of the total course grade and shall be due no later than December 2, 2013. No excuses are acceptable given students have 4 months to complete this assignment. A letter grade will be deducted for every day the ethics paper is late. * *This paper is required for all students and is not for extra credit** A hard copy of the paper should be furnished to the professor on December 2, 2013, at the beginning of class. The student may choose to e-mail this paper to the professor on or before midnight on December 2, 2013, however if the attachment cannot be ed on or before the deadline for any reason regardless of fault, the student will be deducted a letter grade for every day the paper is late. It is therefore highly recommended I~at a hard copy of the document be furnished to the professor on or before the deadline of December 2, 2013.
