Movie clip assignment
In order to use and apply the concepts from this class in a quasi real world environment, you are to select one movie clip that you will use to explain two topics we have discussed in class.
The movie clip that you choose should be representative of a workplace situation. Be careful of movies or sitcoms that are primarily comedies – they may not provide a good representation of the topics. The topics must be from different units of this course.
What movie and topics you will be writing about let me know. Scenes should be appropriate for classroom viewing. There should be no nudity, overt sexual scenes, or major amounts of profanity.
Paper
:
The paper you upload to Safe Assign no later than 5 pm on Friday, March 28, should include:
1. INTRODUCTION. The introduction should be a general description of the movie plot. (1/2 page) (Assume I have not seen the movie)
2. ANALYSIS. Begin by explaining your topic. Give a formal definition of your first topic. Reference your textbook by citing (Shockley-Zalabak, p. xx) or online lecture (Lecture, date). Then describe the movie clip that applies to your topic. Finally, connect the topics to the movie clip.
***Do the same process for each topic.***
3. A CONCLUSION section. This section is about how the information in the project helped you understand the topics discussed.
4. The paper should be written to include the sections listed above (INTRODUCTION, ANALYSIS, CONCLUSION). Each section should be clearly labled.
5. The paper should be 2-3 pages double-spaced, typed in Times New Roman, 12 point font with 1″ margins.
6. Spelling and grammatical errors count as part of the grade. See the rubric for more details.
