?The death penalty is defined as is the sentence of execution for murder and some other capital crimes (serious crimes, especially murder, which are
punishable by death (definitions.uslegal.com). There are many forms of the death penalty. Some examples are the gas chamber, lethal injection,
firing squad, just to name a few. The amendment to the Constitution provides protections against unlawful application of the death penalty. In
this study I will be exploring the relationship between gender and the number of times the death penalty was administered. My independent variable
is gender and the dependent variable is number of times the death penalty was administered.
