I think civil rights movement was vital in securing and safeguarding the pledges of the civil war and reconstruction from hundred years before to the black Americans. The non-violent protests of the movement and reactions raised the awareness nationally in regard to the pight of black Americans that led to legislation.
The United States were rational and conservative on the home front. Women took charge of working places as men were going out to war. Immigration was slowly opening up to provide for labor. The war was ongoing. There was a huge debate opened up by Philip Randolph. He had thrown axe in the wax by giving an idea on whether the black individuals should participate in the war. The executive order 1981 July 1948 opened up the initial phase of modern day civil rights movements.
As a matter of fact the war was on top gear. There are two main factions, “The‘allies’ and the ‘enemy’. The war has already resulted into a main problem as there are several curfews and restrictions. There have been reported cases of seizure of property and deportation. Children have been separated from their parents due to the war. There has been also increased cases of ethnicity and loss of jobs.
A few years ago, I interviewed Fiorello La guardia, the Italian mayor of NYC on how his security team let the US get attacked. “The matter is still under investigation but we shall soon come to the bottom it.”
There were several regulations in china and Japan. Several Acts have also been put in place; One of them is the repealing of the“ Chinese Exclusion Act.
Several months later, I received a letter from America’s top military leader. It was about the `Manhattan project.’ The project was under the leadership of Enrico Fermi and Albert Einstein. I quickly took a train to NYC laboratories to interview Mr. Einstein. I arrived late in the night and I luckily found him doing some work while standing next to his project. “Sir, I’m an investigative journalist, Josep Pierce. Tell me something about the`Manhattan project.’ “This is my laboratory. These are my own inventions. You have no obligation whatsoever to come to my work place to ask me such nonsense. Please leave.” He shouted. Later on, July 16th of 1945 the bomb was tested, in what was famously known as the trinity test. No media personnel has so far been allowed to access the scene of the blast. It was America’s top secret. Our president Truman had set all guns ablaze. He was more determined than ever before to win the war.
Soon the world war was over ushering in the cold war. There is fear of communism felt both at home and abroad. Sir, Harry Truman is a worried president. There are a lot of responsibilities he has to play. Europe needs financial aid. There should be an increase in its military capacity. Communism is a real threat. Recently there was the launching of federal employee loyalty programme
Communists such as McCarthyism start to sprout. His ideas start to gain momentum. Joseph McCarthy faces accusations and is summoned through congressional hearing.1957, As we saw, Chevy Corvette led to the rise of the automobiles. This increased communication between cities. Hiscontributions led to increased economicgrowth. Still in the 1950’s, there was invention of the television. There was increased spread of information.
William Levitt is known to have made money from the rise of suburbs. There was still strained relationship between communists and capitalists in the foreign affairs. Dwight Eisenhower was elected because of his fame of being a general during the World War II. There are problems facing international communities according to the report from our foreign ministries. Korea and Iran are part of US headache as they are upfront in construction of nuclear weapons. Problems are also witnessed within America’s borders. In 1958, Nixon’s car is attacked by Bogota. Also, Guatemala flirts with the idea of socialism and capitalism. Cuba is also a big participant in the cold war.
America opens up to investors so as to enhance capitalism. Eisenhower is one such investor. The federal highway he built caused easy access to businesses. This promoted industries and also people could leave cities if there was a disaster such as a nuclear attack. There was a rise in human activists. William contributed greatly to children confrontation as human rights activists. Children were being attacked. Parents could not go to work. There were increased cases of violence and suffering.
In August 28th 1963 there was a march through Washington. 250000 people show up calling for federal government to get involved. The speech by activists was dubbed “Children of America.” There were also talks about the black power. The blacks should have voting rights. There should be acceptance of the culture of the blacks. Their dressing, names and other basic needs were to be accepted. There were also ideological differences that sprout out in the urban areas. WD was the Farad founder of the nation of Islam. Malcolm X was also a leading spokesman for the nation of Islam. They invented the Mecca. Elijah Muhammad took leadership after Farad left. He was outspoken. Soon Malcolm X disagreed with Muhammad on certain religious issues. Only months after returning from Mecca, Malcolm X was assassinated. James Ray is the one who pulled the trigger.
