Children in America are experiencing many problems because of the poverty levels they have in their families. According to the Save the Children website, it shows that more than 16 million children suffer from extreme poverty. Apart from poverty there are other factors such as unfavorable climatic factors, inadequate information systems, poor and primitive tradition and cultural practices, among others. Many families survive in a single meal a day a condition that subjects the children to intolerable scenario that affects their lives entirely (Save the Children organization, America 2014).

According to Jennifer Garner, Artist ambassador at Save the Children said that the condition of children in living in poverty in the United States remains to be historic high, and that has adversely affected their lives. The children are living in the poverty situation that leads to most of them are not going to school, having poor health, and the children s future is not well defined. The children agenda should be number one priority number one in campaign agenda, and that, in fact, is the primary economy of the American dream.

Children from such environment engage in doing domestic chores as they cannot go to school to learn without having books and other learning materials. This state of living for young people at that tender age signals dangerous implications on their bright future. “Affordability brings a challenge to many families since many cannot afford even to buy a pen and book for their children” (Save the Children, USA). The majority of the children who do not go to school produce failures and criminal in the future.

Mark Shriver the senior vice president at the Save the children, recalled that during presidential debate there was no even one who said that he was going to tackle the poverty that is in 16 million children in America. Fighting poverty is as if they are reducing the deficit that is a great concern to many presidential candidates. He added that American leaders, its citizens, and the world is advised to fight how to end poverty among the children to enable them have a bright future.

The condition at which the American children are living is quite devastating. According to the national report card released in 2012 by the First Focus and Save the Children, American scored a lackluster grade of C -. It made a survey over the children’s economic security, childhood education, performance, education, and chances of success in education after school. The report urges the American people to take action and help the children so that they can be successful in school and life. The report urged the American people to vote in a presidential candidate who has the passion for the children and those who will liaise with local to help the children.

Many kids wish to work hard in school because they value education to the most important thing to their lives. Unfortunately, they never have access to such education because of poverty in their families that makes affordability be impossible. In an interview Brandon, 11, Lobelville, TN said, “I like to read because there are new adventures all the time. Fiction is my favorite because you can get inside the adventure.” It is a show of an American, who was a beneficiary of the save the children organization.

Children who are living in rural America are either obese or underweight. Report from a survey done by the Save says that the children revealed that in one out of three children are living in poor conditions to the extent that they cannot put food on the table. They choose putting cheap and unhealthy food that causes the young to suffer malnutrition. Statistics further shows that children approximately 23 million live health complications: sixth percent of 5-to-10 year old children have risks of heart disease, 1 and three children born in the united states have type two 2 diabetes. It is approximated that 59 percent of the children cannot access healthy fresh water, healthy foods, among other things (save the children, USA).

“Our organization ‘save the children,’ is so much concerned about the living conditions of children in America and the rest of the world, and we want to appeal to anybody with a helping hand to rise and improve the lives of a American child” (Save the Children USA, 2014). Our mission is to do everything we can to help young people across the globe. We request anybody to assist these young people in the rural parts of the America and transform their lives for them to be significant and better Americans in days to come.

American children need help to come out of such intolerable conditions. The American children needs clothes to wear, food to eat, shelter to sleep on and education. The government of United States should also consider the people in those regions and support them. It should allocate resources and help the poor in America.
