Chapter 10 was all about Training and Development and included a significant section on Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and the models associated with ISD.

The model very familiar to many of us is the ADDIE process for developing training, which you will further explore in OLP 4402/5502.

The video for the week was also on an instructional design system called the Successive Approximation Model (SAM). There has been much support for this model from a major learning organization, the Association for Talent Development (formerly American Society for Training and Development) to make this model the “new and improved” ISD model.
