Case poverty

The levels of poverty vary with situations. For example, poverty in third world countries has a different connotation with that in developed countries. Sometimes a family with the ability to fund their basic needs falls into a crisis due to their actions or outside effects. Although such a family may not be termed as poor, the situation at that moment warrants the use of the term. Case poverty usually occurs in a situation where the family’s breadwinner has some disability that renders him/her unable to fend for the family. The disability may be either mental or physical.

There are two distinctive examples of case poverty, case poverty related to natural disabilities such as being crippled, deaf, mute, et cetera, and that related to lack of some abilities such as illiteracy.

Case poverty concerned with natural disabilities is the most chronic type of poverty. The people and families in this type of case poverty can do little about their situation. The fact that they are poor and disabled makes it hard for them to survive. In developing countries, such families are found on the streets. They do everything on the street. Their means of survival are achieved by begging on the streets or scavenging in dustbins around town. Most of these families live in urban centers where they can come across many people to beg.their needs. These people cannot marry or engage in social activities because their financial status does not allow them.

These people are either born with these disabilities or get them from accidents or ailments.poor, but most of them fall into poverty. The reason being, an individual only uses the wealth he/she has without any replacement.

On the other hand, case poverty concerned with the lack of intellectual abilities such as illiteracy affects a great number of global populations. This poverty is due to lack of knowledge or skills that can enable one to acquire a job that helps to feed his family. A large number of poverty-stricken families fall into this bracket. Some neighborhoods in developed nations have people who are not educated. On the other hand, in developing countries, education is a luxury and many people cannot afford it. The funds that would have been used in educating the children is used for feeding the family since it is insufficient. Another factor that gives rise to this situation is the innocence of the importance of education. For instance, in Africa there are communities who still think that life is just about hunting and gathering.

These people are on the lower step in the social ladder because the current world rates ones social standing using wealth and education. They are not recognized in any way and the only time the authorities notice them is when the politicians are vote hunting.

The causes of case poverty are mainly due to inequality in the distribution of resources by statesf these people cannot help their situations, the government should come in and help them, but none of this has ever happened. The lack of ability to help oneself is the main cause of poverty. The people in these two cases have some kind of disability that inhibits them from undertaking economic activities that would otherwise elevate them from poverty. Although lack of resources and job opportunities has a huge effect on the distribution of wealth in poor countries, the way the government designs its activities is to blame for increased poverty.

To curb poverty, the government should provide support to these groups. Financial help should be meted to the parts where there is extreme poverty. Economic projects should be established, and design where resources and responsibilities are divided equally into the country should be established.

In conclusion, poverty will always exist; the idea is for the governments all over the world to try to reduce its ravages. Equality is the main key to unlocking this menace and the government has a big role to play.
