PART B [30 marks] Due 27th May, 5pm, 2016, Approx. 1,500 words (exclude tables and bibliography) You are required to take a business report approach to examine the performance of a sample of two companies listed in the same category on the Australian Securities Exchange (https://www.asx.com.au/index.htm) over a continuous period of minimum 5 weeks. Between 21th March, 2016 and 22th April, 2016. A report is to be prepared for each company which should include the following:
• Collection of weekly share price data for each company over the 5 weeks period. Each share price should then be graphed and a discussion on movements and trends in share price should be provided.
• Critically analyse the risk and return concept on the selected shares and provide investment advice based on the analysis. (Hint: you may also refer to the company’s financial reports to analyse the company’s performance)
