Creswell defines backyard research as a study of the researcher’s own organization, or friends, or immediate work setting . Although we do occasionally try out questions with family members, it is not a good idea to focus too closely on people who are personally connected to you as subjects of research.
There are, however, a lot of different viewpoints on backyard research. What would appeal to you in doing this kind of research? What would be problematic?
