C. Course Description

This course, presented by Robert Schramm, BCBA is designed for providers to learn specific research based strategies specific to Autism, Applied Behavioral Analysis and Verbal Behavior Approaches. Individual participants will gain information on how to incorporate the above mentioned philosophies into classroom and therapy sessions. This course will provide hands on practice and techniques to better understand behavior and the use positive reinforcement to increase targeted behaviors and decrease problematic behaviors. Additional strategies and techniques specific to increasing speech and language skills will be discussed and practiced. Participants of the course will be choose 2 articles related to ABA and AVB strategies and techniques to further study the use of ABA specific to children with Autism and other behavioral challenges.
