read the transcript (video) Emily Walker Persuasive Speech 2012, Living Life to the Fullest.pdf.
Access the Implicit Association Test (IAT) site at https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/takeatest.html. Choose and take 2 IAT tests, saving the information generated at the end of each test.
After completing the readings, viewing the videos, and taking the IAT tests, respond to the following questions:
Identify the attitudes that are implied in the IAT.
Evaluate the information in the videos and apply it to attitude formation and attitude consistence. How do you think these concepts influenced your IAT results? Discuss your results in the religion category and relate them to the other category you chose.
Compare and contrast your IAT results. Do you agree with your results? What factors would affect your scores?
Analyze the results of the IAT and explain them based on attitude-behavior consistency. To what extent did your attitudes on your categories influence your behaviors during the IAT? How does the Christian belief that human actions are conscious and intentional apply to your result?
Create a critique of the IAT. If you were the developer, how would you present the Religion category in the IAT? What are the pros and cons, and how would you revise it?
