Art Event

Attend a gallery, museum or any where that you can view a group of work by one artist. View the work BEFORE  you learn anything about the artist. Reflect on your response €“ Make sure to address these questions:

1. What is your impression of this work?
2. What do you think the artist trying to communicate?
3. How are you forming that opinion? Discuss specific associations, assumptions etc.
4. Research & read any information available about the artist and the intention of the work.
5. Go back and look at the work again. What are your responses now? Have they changed? how? why?

Music Event: Pick a style of music you would NOT ordinarily listen to. ATTEND live music performance€¦.a
concert, recital, church, street musician etc.. Record your response.

be specific about how you are making these assumptions €“ the participants/audience dress? interior/exterior
decor of the venue? sound of the actual music..
3.How are you forming that opinion? Are there visual, musical cues that you respond to unconsciously? Can you
