Are the Domestic Insolvency Laws of Pakistan up to international standards in comparison to the UNCITRAL Legislative guide 2004 on benchmarking Insolv

The Dissertation should to be divided into 7 chapters as explained in the following paragraph: The first two chapters should be covered regarding the introduction of the proposed UNCITRAL guide on Insolvency and Pakistans domestic Insolvency laws. Relevant arguments and data should be highlighted and critiques sorted out and organized.  Chapters three and four of the study should mainly focus on the shortfalls of the Domestic Laws of Pakistan and explain why not many countries have followed the UNCITRAL guide on Insolvency; paying attention to the factors that are stopping them, and a discussion of whether it is sovereignty or the unwillingness towards unified international standards that drives countries’ reluctance to adopt their laws. Chapter 5-6 of the study should provide a comparison between Pakistan and other third world countries for e.g India, Malaysia. These sections should also highlight what more has to be done in Pakistan to overcome its shortcomings. Chapter 7 should be planned to formulate and write the conclusion for the proposed study. I will attach two files, one shows the Provisions of Insolvency Law of Pakistan in the Comapanies Ordinance of 1984, which has all the provisions of insolvency and related matter in the Law of Pakistan, and the second is the UNCITRAL Legislative Guide benchamrking Insolvency Law. Two other books apart from journals can be read regarding Pakistan which are the following. 1. Practical approach to the companies ordinance 1984, 3rd edition 2007 by Nazir Ahmed Shaheen. 2. The Companies ordinance by Zahid Mehmood xlvii of 1984. Lastly certain cases should be mentioned of Pakistan regarding Insolvency, and another problem of implementation of Insolvency Laes should be mentioned which lacks badly in Pakistan, due to which majority does not want to go into courts for such matters. Plenty of journals should be read for Pakistans Insolvency Laws. Another important site would be of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, which is the controlling body of the Companies Ordinance. Its site is http://www.secp.gov.pk/  Care should be taken of that the whole dissertation should have an international aspect to it, as it is basically of international Insolvency law
