Applied HCI Principles and the 7th Heuristic
For this, your Unit 7 assignment, choose one device, one app, and one Web site. For example, you can choose a handheld HCI-related device, an app that you use regularly on a smartphone, or a Web site that you frequent in everyday life. Each weekly assignment in the units to come should use a different selection of each.
Critique this week’s choice of each of three interactive items and then judge them across Nielsen’s weekly heuristic. This week’s focus is on Nielsen’s heuristic related to “flexibility and efficiency of use”.
Focus on one of the three interactive items and detail how cognitive and affective design aspects relate to its design.
Select one of the three interactive items and explain why you believe that this particular interactive device or application is more user-centric than the other two. Use specific examples from the textbook, usability sites, and e-books in order to support your findings. References and citations are required to be in proper APA formatting.
The paper should be approximately 1–2 pages with a separate reference page. Incorporate the following five headers in the following order. The headers directly match the grading criteria in the assignment scoring guide.
