To analyze a piece of writing is to take it apart in order to show how it works. You identify some component of the writing and explain its relation to the chief point the writer is trying to make. In this paper, I’d like you to focus on particular element of either Ursula K. Le Guin’s A Very Warm Mountain or Gary Snyder’s Ancient Forests of the Far West. In each instance, the writer interjects either journal writing or poetry within the larger prose sections. In this paper I would like you to answer the following question: why does the writer do this ? focus on one of these essays, and present a thorough and specific answer to this question. Please include a works cited.
