Indiewood films of the mid-to-late 1990s and 2000s were seen to balance elements that are primarily associated with Hollywood cinema and markers of distinction that are associated with art cinema or quality cinema. Use ONE Indiewood film that was not been screened on the course to show how this approach is reflected on the screen. Please use Pulp Fiction.

It is necessary to outline the concepts of Hollywood and the Indie sector and to clarify the distinctions between these two and Indiewood. These movies have the general notion of what a Hollywood or Indie movie is €“ but are at the same time distinguished from that image. Will need to discuss these topics in terms of the movie’s structure, subject matter, themes, characterization, and look.
