Life is characterized of taking risks in everything that we undertake. The essence of our instincts is risks. Despite the challenges we meet, when we take these them we learn to adopt new ways and methods of tackling them in order to succeed. Although life is characterized of risks that are challenging, it is proven that, without taking risks, we cannot reach the point we aspire to. It is the attitude within us that keeps on igniting and rejuvenating our psyche to venture again and again into greater risks. By doing this, we improve our lives, and the well-being of our people.

I come from a life background that has involved taking risks to get to where I am currently. I have passed through experiences that have taught me that, pressing on despite the circumstances or the challenges, is the best way to handle life. For example, going through college life to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in accounting has not been a simple task. I have learnt that the right attitude and the interest for professionalism is the best approach to go about in the path of professional development.

I am for now pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting, which I am expecting to complete by March of this year (2014). I have ambition to join the graduate school immediately, to further my career. My short term goal in the profession is to become a reputable auditor, and practice with decorum and ethics to preserve and promote the reputation of my faculty. I also have a long term goal in this profession; which is to become an executive officer of a reputable organization in the future. Pursuing post-graduate studies will provide me with a better opportunity even for promotion in my current job, incase my short term goal does not come to reality.

I am currently working in an accounting firm. I work on tax returns, book keeping and I also do auditing. My job objective is well supported by my past work and education. Having acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting, I have been equipped with a strong base for professional development in auditing. My previous work has been involving calculations. For example, from the year 2011 to the present, I have worked with students as a private mathematics tutor, and helped them improve their scores by an average of 20%. I am also working as a grader in the mathematics department. My work in the department involves organizing homework in statistics and calculus classes for a student population of more than 120. In addition, from June to September 2012, I worked as an auditing intern and gained a wealth of experience in auditing. For example, I was involved in preparing business activity tax returns for 30 local companies. I demonstrated strength in completing such a task within two weeks with very professional work ethics. To strengthen my professional base, I am involved in volunteer activities as a Tax Income Assistant, and I hold a certificate of public services from IRS. I also have skills in Microsoft word, Excel, Power Point, Access, La Tex, Eview and Ten Key Calculator.
